Radiography is a diagnostic tool that can be utilized for a variety of scenarios. At Potlatch Veterinary Clinic, we have several x-ray systems. For small animals that are brought to the clinic, we have a state-of-the-art in-house digital radiography table system. This can aid in the diagnosis of mobility problems or gastro-intestinal complaints, allow a doctor to examine a patient’s heart or lungs, get an accurate pregnancy litter count and more. We also have an x-ray specific to taking dental radiographs which we utilize for every cat and dog dental cleaning. This unit allows a doctor to check the health of the teeth’s root system for better oral care. When we visit you at your home or farm, we also have a mobile x-ray unit and are able to process and see the images right there in the field. From a lame cow or horse in the pasture to a dog who doesn’t like car rides and needs to be seen at home, this portable unit can be invaluable in meeting your unique needs and enabling the doctors to have access to the best diagnostic tools.
