End of Life Care

As our loved ones near the end of their lives, we are faced with a number of difficult decisions. At Potlatch Veterinary Clinic, our staff is here to walk with you through this process, from discussing how to evaluate your pet’s quality of life to helping you understand what options are available for end-of-life care.

If the time has come for your pet, we can serve you either in clinic or, for those wishing to say goodbye in their own homes, we are able to offer House Calls. A Doctor and a Veterinary Technician will come to your home at a pre-arranged time to help care for your pet.

If at-home burial is not a desired or available option, we can arrange for cremation. There are two main cremation options: private and communal. If you wish to have your pet’s ashes returned to you in one of the many beautiful urn options available, private cremation can be arranged. For those preferring communal cremation, a very financially economical option, your pet’s ashes will be scattered in a lovely Memorial Garden that is open to the public in Colbert, Washington.

For more information on any of these options, please feel free to give us a call at 208-875-4838.
