At Potlatch Veterinary Clinic we offer a variety of in-house and send out laboratory services. We have in-house Idexx bloodwork and urine analysis machines, allowing us to have results on basic bloodwork and urine samples in 20-30 minutes. Our in-house bloodwork capabilities include complete blood count (CBC), chemistry panels, electrolyte panels (including calcium and magnesium), SDMA (a small animal kidney function indicator), total T4 (thyroid) value, and progesterone levels. We also offer in-house fecal analysis, including floats for most species (dogs, cats, horses, livestock, etc.) to look for GI parasites (worms). Plus, we offer in-house small animal screening tests for heartworm disease, parvovirus infection, feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV).

For more advanced testing in all species, we are able to offer a large variety of send out tests to specialized laboratories. Our send out testing is not only for blood, urine, and fecal samples, it also includes mass biopsy/histopathology, cytology, cultures, and more.
